theMacDaddy Senior Fellows has fast become one of my favourite bands in modern era. Sludgy Doomy metal done well. Favorite track: THE WILLING CONSENT TO YOUR OWN OPPRESSION.

MindOverFour I remember when metal was distinct from hardcore, and metalheads did not listen to Coalesce. Senior Fellows (like Norma Jean) show us the wonderful result of the collapse of that division. Less math-y and more sludge-y than a group like Handshake Murders, but similar in sound, this is massively heavy and overflowing with metal riffs. Complicated, powerful, and unrelenting songs that will crush you. Favorite track: AN ECONOMIC FRAMEWORK BASED ON UNSUSTAINABLE CRUELTY.
